Chevrolet will unveil the new Camaro Convertible, the convertible version of the famous muscle-car, at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It will be available with two engines, a V6 and a V8.

The Los Angeles Auto Show will mark the debut of a very important model for the American market and for General Motors. Chevrolet will exhibit the long-awaited convertible version of the Camaro.

Camaro Convertible will be available in two engine versions, which can also be found on the Coupe version: the 310 horsepower V6 unit or top-range SS powered by a 6.2 liter V8, with 420 horsepower to offer. The engines are connected to either a manual transmission with six reports or to an automatic one, also with six reports.

Resources promise a range acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in less than five seconds and a top speed of 250 km / h, performances worthy of a muscle-car label.

The brand’s global debut will be followed by a U.S. commercial launch in February of next year, with a starting price of approximately $ 30,000 on the U.S. market. Its European debut is currently uncertain, but the first convertible is said to appear in the first half of 2011.

Also, next year Chevrolet will unveil special editions Synergy Series and XM’s Accessory Appearance Package of the Camaro Convertible model. Fans have already come into contact with the new model through the Neiman Marcus catalog, where the convertible was available in a special version, which was quickly exhausted.
