Mercedes will exhibit at the Geneva Auto Show the revised version of the performance model C63 AMG. The sedan will feature design elements currently present on the standard versions and will have a higher power.

Although there is approximately one month left before the opening of the Geneva Motor Show, a series of official pictures reveal the new aspect of the performance model C63 AMG in its sedan and wagon versions. Subjected to a general facelift too, the sports sedan and its brother Estate feature a new design, almost entirely copied from the standard version of the mid-range model.

Differences are given by the redesigned bumper with larger air intakes, the LED lights positioned on the front bumper, the new radiator grille and grille’s chrome line.

The facelift for the sports version brings mechanical enhancements as well. The 6.3-liter V8 engine has a Controlled Efficiency Programme, available on the automatic transmission with seven reports. The eight-cylinder unit develops 463 horsepower and 600 Nm, sufficient resources to ensure a sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in just 4.5 seconds.

The top speed remains limited to the 250 km / h. Due to the new Controlled Efficiency system, the average consumption is reduced to 12 liters per 100 kilometers.

The performance of the acceleration can be improved by 0.2 seconds, if you opt for the AMG Performance Pack. The kit climbs the power of the value to 487 horse power and comes with a series of fine aesthetic details: brake calipers painted in red, carbon fiber inserts, AMG sport steering wheel and Nappa and Alcantara leather upholstery.
