Hammond, Clarkson and May will play the three wise men from the east in the Top Gear episode dedicated to Christmas this year. The three moderators are already filming in the Middle East.

The Top Gear team prepares a big surprise for its fans for the winter holidays this year. The TV show stars, James May, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond are already shooting an episode in the Middle East, trying to track down the journey of the Three Magi from the East when they went searching for Jesus.

BBC producers have confirmed their intention to film an episode dedicated to Christmas, called “In Search Of The Baby Jesus.” Although the Bible does not describe in big detail the three wise men’s journey and the only existing information was that they were coming from the East, producers are trying to reconstruct the possible route.

Thus, Clarkson, May and Hammond will leave Iraq and cross the Euphrates River, to Syria and then Jordan, then they will stop in Israel to find Bethlehem. Of course, we will only find the answer when the episode will be broadcast on TV.

In order to pass through the problematic region, the TV hosts will have three world famous roadsters that made headlines years ago: Fiat Barchetta, Mazda MX-5 and BMW Z3.
