Charlene Wittstock chooses blue for the civil ceremony

The suit consisted of a blue blazer over a lace-trimmed corset, paired with floaty chiffon pants. Wittstock herself had designed the suit for the occasion.

“It’s a collaboration between me and Karl Lagerfeld,” she told American Vogue. “We wanted something to match the colour of my eyes. It’s my creation and I’m proud of it.”

With her hair styled in a bun and natural makeup, the South African beauty appeared very elegant for the ceremony, getting fashion commentators to dub the color “Charlene blue.”

So far, the princess proves that she has a keen sense of style. And if Charlene trusted her own taste for the civil marriage, she is said to have opted for the Italian fashion house Armani for Saturday’s religious ceremony.
