They both stunned the world with their perfect gowns. Yet which is your favorite wedding dress?

Charlene Wittstock and Kate Middleton both said goodbye to their statuses as commoners in grandiose wedding ceremonies, watched by millions of people around the globe.

Each bride was unique in her own special way.

Princess Charlene of Monaco chose an off-the-shoulder silk ivory wedding dress, embroidered with Swarovski crystals and thousands of pearls in the shape of flowers, created by Giorgio Armani.

Behind her, a huge veil extended on a length of 20 meters of silk, accounting for 100 hours of work for the achievement of its subtle embroidery.

The bride had her hair in a bun and she walked down the aisle followed by seven bridesmaids.

Duchess of Cambridge opted for a modern replica of the wedding dress worn by Grace Kelly in 1956. Catherine Middleton’s dress, which was the subject of much speculation since the announcement of the royal marriage, is therefore signed by the British designer Sarah Burton, who took over the artistic direction of the brand Alexander McQueen since his death, a year ago.

She wore a white and ivory dress, with long sleeves, a V lace neckline and belted waist, and a two-meter train. On the corset and skirt, ivory silk motifs of roses, thistles, daffodils and shamrocks were sewn.

The back of the dress was adorned with 58 buttons covered with organza and gazar. A diamond Cartier tiara, lent by Queen Elizabeth, adorned the bride’s hair, who wore ivory satin shoes.

The robe extended into a train of 2.70 meters carried by her sister Pippa.
