Hugh Jackman reveals his old-fashioned parenting skills
Jackman may be a top Hollywood actor, but in private he tries to keep a sense of the ordinary in his kids’ life.

Hugh, 42, recently shared some of his old-school parenting policy with People magazine.
“A buddy of mine has a rule that I installed: No screens during the week. No TV, or computer, or anything like that,” the actor says.
“Kids nowadays have very little time,” he continues. “They seem to be at school longer than ever. They have all sorts of after school activities. By the time you have eaten and showered and dressed, it is over. So there is not much time for it anyway.”

You might think his kids, Oscar, 11, and Ava, 6, aren’t very happy about the rules in the household, but Hugh says it’s actually the other way round.
“I love to play Wii Tennis. So I’ll say to my son, ‘Hey, lets go play on the Wii.’ And he goes, ‘Dad, it’s a beautiful day! Let’s go outside!’”
Jackman stars in the movie Real Steel, which will arrive on the big screen Oct. 7.
