In recent weeks, fashion houses and journalists have been speculating about which designer will have the privilege and honor to dress Kate Middleton for her marriage.

And while the biggest names in the fashion world, such as Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani, Frida Giannini for Gucci, have already sent their sketches to the palace, it is rumored that the decision had already been taken.

According to the Sunday Times of London, Alexander McQueen is the house that would tailor Kate Middleton’s gown. Since the death of Alexander McQueen, it’s Sarah Burton, former right hand of the creator, who has taken over. A succession unanimously hailed by the press.

According to the rumor mill, the design of the wedding dress would be a combination of Kate Middleton’s ideas and Sarah Burton’s eccentric interpretation.

However, the magic all perished when the rumors were denied. Burton told Vogue UK, “I am not doing it.”

In addition, McQueen CEO Jonathan Akeroyd, who is said to have leaked the news, denied the reports, saying, “No, not at all. I am the CEO. I would know if we were doing it.”

The wedding takes place on April 29.
