Kate Middleton becomes Britain’s Best Dressed in 2011

Prince William’s wife was awarded the honor by an elite of panelists, including Roksanda Ilincic, Philip Treacy, Antonio Berardi and the mag’s editors, Kim Hersov and Lucy Yeomans.

“Catherine’s incredible style evolution has gripped us all,” Harper’s Bazaar UK editor Lucy Yeomans said. “She gave us the year’s – if not the century’s – most thrilling fashion moment at the royal wedding and is shaping up as an amazing ambassador for British designers and the high street [retail industry].”

The magazine praised Kate for her simple, elegant style, featuring a well-balanced mix of high end and high street fashion names, and her choice for recycled outfits.

Other famous names taken into account for the honor include Kate Moss, Emma Watson,
Alexa Chung, Keira Knightley and Stella McCartney.
