Louis Vuitton announced Thursday in a statement that they have acquired La Fabrique du Temps, a Swiss company that produces luxury watches, for an undisclosed amount.
The Geneva-based company, which was partner of Louis Vuitton, was founded in 2007 and it specializes in the design and manufacture of luxury watches.
“The integration of La Fabrique du Temps reflects Louis Vuitton’s desire to uphold the highest quality standards for its watches and further develop its know-how in the conception and perfection of movements,” stated the release.
More watch brands from the LVMH group have their own workshops and manufactures in this region, such as Tag Heuer, Zenith and more recently, Hublot.
At the end of this year, Louis Vuitton will open its first luxury jewelry shop in the famous Place Vendôme in Paris.
