Brad Pitt admits he would like to marry Angelina Jolie, have more kids

The Moneyball star opens up about the fact that he plans to marry longtime girlfriend Angelina Jolie as “it seems to mean more and more” for their children.

Although some time ago Pitt insinuated that neither he nor his children’s mother want to take this step, saying that they will marry when gay marriage becomes legal in all states, he recently admitted that they could not maintain the statement.

“’We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to do it till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out,” the actor said.

“We’d actually like to, and it seems to mean more and more to our kids. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot. And it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment.”

However, he didn’t mention having asked Angelina to marry him, adding: “I’m not going to go any further.”

In any case, the fact that their children want to see their parents married is not the only reason behind this emotional mood change.

“But to be in love with someone and be raising a family with someone and want to make that commitment and not be able to is ludicrous, just ludicrous,” Brad said.

The 48-year-old actor also mentioned the possibility of adding to their brood of six: “We haven’t closed the book on it. There’s a really nice balance in the house right now, but if we see the need and get that lightning bolt that says, ‘We can help this person; we could do something here,’ then absolutely.”

Pitt also opened up about depression: “I used to deal with depression, not this decade – maybe last decade. But that’s also figuring out who you are. I see it as a great education.”
