Amanda Seyfried talks past and present love interests in Elle

Little Red Riding Hood has grown up. In the new film adaptation of the story it is Amanda Seyfried who comes face to face with the Big Bad Wolf. At 25, she is often cited as one of the sexiest actresses of her generation, and one of the most promising.

Revealed in 2008 in the musical “Mamma Mia!” alongside Meryl Streep, she quickly made us forget her role as a silly blonde in “Mean Girls.”

On a personal level, she is currently the subject of rumors about a possible romantic relationship with Ryan Phillippe, even a love triangle with Rihanna. In an interview with Elle magazine (to be published in full on March 22), she doesn’t deny or confirm their relationship: “Um, yeah. I’ve been ‘seen’ with him.”

Between 2008 and 2010 Amanda Seyfried lived a quiet love story with Dominic Cooper whom she met on the set of “Mamma Mia!” Falling in love with her on-screen boyfriend is “one of the easiest things in the world,” she explains. “You’re put in a situation where you have to make out with each other. It’s easy for things to get carried away.”

However, Amanda says their relationship was not that simple.

When they met, Cooper was already involved with someone else. That was the source of their failure and it deeply marked her: “I was just kind of foolishly thinking that the two of them were done and Dom and I were involved,” says Seyfried. “I got my heart broken pretty hard. After that, it’s really hard to open myself up to a new person. Really hard.”

She also admits in the interview that this painful breakup prevented the development of a love affair with the sexy Alexander Skarsgard, from the series “True Blood.”

“We dated,” she says. “He’s super funny, but I was too involved with Dom.”
