Angelina Jolie on family life with Anderson Cooper

The actress says her children love their nomadic lifestyle.

Jolie said she fears the day her children will get tired of traveling the world with her and Brad Pitt.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” she said in an interview on The Anderson Cooper Show of eventually settling down one day. “I don’t want to settle. I love traveling.”

The 36-year-old actress explained that so far the kids are ok with their globetrotting adventure.

“I will listen, as my mother would have, to them,” she says. “And if they start to complain about it … [But] right now they love it. Right now if they’re in one place for two months they want to know why we’re not getting on an airplane.”

Angelina explained how their brood of six, which includes Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 3, actually find moving from one corener of the world to another exciting.

“They really love to travel, and we have certain things that are comforts of home,” she said. “And also, because they’re such a big traveling pack it’s not one child moving around the world and missing friends. There are so many of them they have constant play dates and they’re always together.”

She added, “Because we have traveled a lot, we’re kind of lucky in that we have friends around the world, so if we end up in Budapest or Germany or Africa or Vietnam, they actually call their friends.”

In addition, the children don’t seem to be bothered by the fact that they constantly have to change the environment.

“Fortunately, my kids love to travel… they’re very worldly,” Jolie explained. “What I love is that they can be in New York in a hotel in Manhattan and think it’s so cool, and then I can bring them to the middle of Kenya and drop them in a tent with no TV and no nothing, and they’re just as happy.”

“That’s what we are trying to do, to balance them.”

Angelina Jolie’s full interview with Anderson Cooper airs Monday, December 19, 2011.
