Angelina Jolie turned into a rebel due to rejection

Angelina Jolie, considered a rebel in Hollywood, admitted to taking drugs in her youth, went through many dramatic moments in family life and had a “complicated” emotional life.

According to the new unauthorized biographical volume written by Andrew Morton, the rebellious nature of Angelina Jolie is rooted in feelings of rejection that she experienced in childhood after her mother abandoned her for two years.

Marcheline Bertrand, actress mother, abandoned Angelina, aged one year in a separate apartment in her residence in Los Angeles, leaving her for two years with family employees.

Marcheline Bertrand was angry on Angelina’s father, actor Jon Voight, because he had an affair, pouring her anger over their daughter, because little Angelina resembled her father.

According to British biographer, Marcheline accepted Angelina in her life again only after she reached the age of three, but two years of estrangement left deep traces in the psyche of the child.

Andrew Morton, the author of the controversial biography of Princess Diana, argues in this volume that Mick Jagger allegedly courted Angelina Jolie for two years, although he was married to Jerry Hall.

British biographer argues, however, that Angelina Jolie “stole” Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston husband then, using Maddox, her adopted Cambodian child, whom she used as “bait and an excuse” to conquer the actor during filming of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith.”

By then, Brad Pitt wanted very much to start a family, and the possibility of having more children with Angelina Jolie would have been a decisive factor in Jennifer Aniston’s separation.

But the Angelina’s rebellious behavior is explained mainly by the trauma suffered in childhood, says Morton.Angelina Jolie was born in 1975 and in the next year her father had an affair with actress Stacey Pickren. Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand divorced and she “Marche took her pain out on Angelina. She separated herself from that child as she looked a lot like Jon.” said Krisann Morel, a family employee.

Angelina Jolie was raised for two years by a real “army” of nannies. Voight family residence at that time became a sort of “ivory tower” where Angelina lived on the fifth floor, and her mother on the second floor.

The relationship between mother and daughter has never returned to normal, remaining at best an “unconventional” relationship, says British author.

At age 14, Angelina Jolie began a relationship with Anton and, at the request of his mother, he moved at Voight residence so that Marcheline Bertrand can monitor the two.

Marcheline Bertrand has relinquished the central bedroom, giving it to the young couple, and moved into a smaller bedroom, allowing the two to sleep in the same room.

According to the book “Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography”, this type of education made Angelina Jolie to become a rebel. Jolie became a big consuming heroin and cocaine and, in a series of shocking photographs included in this biography, she appears almost naked, wearing a dog collar looking pale and very weak.

The young actress had many adventures, both with men and with women, one of them with Ethan Hawke in a time when he had a relationship with Uma Thurman.

Before her relationship with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie was married twice, first marriage was to British actor Johnny Lee Miller, star of “Trainspotting.” He married Angelina wearing black leather pants and a white shirt on which he wrote her name with her own blood.

Her second husband, actor Billy Bob Thornton, whose independence drove her crazy a few times. Angelina was so frustrated with this, that at one point she was hospitalized on her own initiative in the psychiatric clinic of the UCLA Medical Center, for 72 hours to be kept under medical care.

Angelina also tried to hire a hit man to kill herself. The alleged killer was not however convinced that the actress really wants this and offered a cooling-off period of a month. Angelina Jolie efficiently used this time, and eventually changed her mind, giving up such idea of “suicide”.

Towards the end of her mother’s life, the relationship between Angelina Jolie and Marcheline Bertrand improved, especially after the birth of actress child.
