Arnold Schwarzenegger puts his acting career on hold

Due to personal issues, Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided to keep away from the movie sets for a while to restore some order in his private life.

Following his separation from wife Maria Shriver and the revelations about the existence of an illegitimate child born from an extramarital affair with one of his former employees, Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided to halt all acting projects.

“At the request of Arnold Schwarzenegger we asked Creative Artists Agency to inform all his motion picture projects currently underway or being negotiated to stop planning until further notice,” Patrick Knapp, entertainment counsel to Schwarzenegger said Thursday.

“Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines,” the statement continued. “This includes Cry Macho, The Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides.”

The immediate impact of this decision directly affects the film “Cry Macho.” Inspired by a novel by N. Richard Nash, the movie was set to be shot this summer.

Schwarzenegger was also ready to take over the role of the Terminator in the fifth installment of the franchise.

In addition, producers of comics and animated series “The Governator,” which puts the former governor of California in the shoes of a superhero, have also decided to stop production projects.

Regarding the way Schwarzenegger is dealing with his problems, a source said: “He feels very bad about the situation. [He is] fully prepared to do whatever he needs to do to rebuild [his family's] trust.”
