RadarOnline reports that the fired rehab worker who accused Lindsay Lohan of assaulting her got fired by the Betty Ford Center for violating patient confidentiality.
The BF staffer, called Dawn Holland, accused the actress of attacking her when she tried to administer a Breathalyzer test. The firing took place after TMZ posted a video and a document from a woman saying Lohan had hurt her wrist.
The clinic released a statement saying: “Regrettably, on December 21, 2010, one of our employees violated strict confidentiality guidelines and laws by publicly identifying patients in a media interview and by disclosing a privileged document. The employee has been terminated by the Betty Ford Center.”
RadarOnline.com has learned that Holland was paid between $10,000 and $15,000 to talk to TMZ. She claims Lohan and two other patients were caught while trying to sneak back into the building they were staying in, after going drinking. When Holland tried to administer the breath test, Lohan reacted violently and hurt her wrist, the staffer claims.
However, because of her decision to accept cash-for-comment from TMZ, Holland and the gossip site could face violation of HIPAA laws and be subjected to criminal prosecution.
