Their romance lasted only five short months.

“It’s amicable. They’re friends,” a source told People, explaining that distance and DiCaprio’s work commitments were a factor in the split.

Lively and DiCaprio were first seen in Monte Carlo on May 17 on Steven Spielberg’s yacht at the Cannes Film Festival.

The couple visited the most romantic countries together, ranging from Venice to the Riviera, not to mention the trips between California and New York.

Blake even traveled thousands of miles to reach her lover as he filmed The Great Gatsby in Australia.

At one point, a source close to the two even talked about an impending marriage: “I bet they get engaged in six months.”

Before dating Lively, DiCaprio split from model Bar Refaeli.
