On the set of his latest movie World War Z, the actor came to the rescue of a female extra.

The scene was filmed in Glasgow last Wednesday when more than 700 extras gathered in the Scottish capital to simulate a zombie invasion.

As the shooting was in progress, one of the female extras fell in the middle of the trampling crowd and injured herself.

Brad rushed to her aid and thus managed to help her avoid some nasty blows. He then carried her on his shoulders to the shooting team.

“I don’t think she could believe it when Brad picked her up,” a source on the set told The Scottish Sun.

“He didn’t have time to speak to her as it was mid-shoot. But she said afterwards how grateful she was, despite having a badly-grazed knee.”

While in Scotland filming for World War Z, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and their six kids are staying in a rented country estate that includes a 16th-century mansion.
