Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez are over, source claims

Although Diaz only publicly acknowledged their relationship last month, it seems that the two stars have separated in the meantime.

“They’ve broken up. (Cameron is) hurt and betrayed, because she tried so hard to please him. She went overboard,” a source told Perez Hilton’s website FitPerez.

Cameron and Alex had a relationship marked by reconciliations and separations, which began in July 2010.

The 38-year-old actress only recently confirmed her relationship with the New York Yankees star in an interview with the British edition of Elle magazine.

“Yes, Alex is my boyfriend. It’s not a secret any more,” she said.

The two have spent much time together in the last 12 months, the press stating at one point that Cameron moved to Miami to be closer to her boyfriend.

According to articles published in the American press, Diaz recently met his two daughters, Natasha, 6, and Ella, 3.

However, Diaz said three years ago that she is in no hurry to marry. “Marriage hasn’t been important to me,” Cameron told Cosmopolitan magazine.

The actress is currently promoting her latest movie Bad Teacher, where she stars alongside her ex-boyfriend, singer Justin Timberlake.
