Carla Bruni, wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy , has been invited to play in a special two-hour episode of the series “CSI – Crime Scene Investigation”, which will be filmed in Paris.
The first lady of France, aged 42, received a role in the TV series produced by Channel Five – who enjoys an audience of two billion viewers worldwide – after she sent to producers a letter that praised the production quality.
Carol Mendelsohn, executive producer of the series “CSI – Crime Scene Investigation”, told French website Purepeople: “Carla Bruni wrote to us to say she absolutely adored our show. So we would be delighted to offer her a part in our CSI film set in France.”
Carla Bruni, former top model, has recently completed filming a role of small scale in the latest film directed by Woody Allen, titled “Midnight in Paris”. Despite her role as a curator in a Parisian museum contained no reply, the wife of French President took 35 doubles to pour this scene, because every time she was looking to the camera.
In November 2009, when she announced that she plans to accept a proposal to play in Woody Allen’s movie, Carla Bruni said in an interview with Canal Plus TV station: “I’m not at all an actress. Maybe I’ll be absolutely terrible”
“Midnight in Paris” is a romantic comedy that presents the story of a family traveling in Paris for business and that of a newly engaged young couple whose life is transformed by this journey. The distribution of the film: Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates and Michael Sheen.
