Carol Burnett will appear in Glee this fall

According to close sources to the show, Carol Burnett is set to appear on “Glee” this fall, in the role of the mother of Nazi coach Sue Sylvester.

The actress, 77, will appear on “Glee” in October or November. According to Ryan Murphy, the show’s creator, Jane Lynch’s character “is meaner than ever … this year she’s on a bender.”

Other good news for the “Glee” fans: there will be some feature music from Beatles alum Paul McCartney and “Britain’s Got Talent” star Susan Boyle.
