Courteney Cox on David Arquette: “I’m his biggest protector”

Separated for several months from David Arquette, Courteney Cox is still single.

A situation in which she admits she’s feeling pretty good. She even confided to Harper’s Bazaar that she doesn’t, for now, want to look for someone else.

Courteney Cox is doing very well on her own. That’s what she told Harper’s Bazaar, explaining that she was not looking froward to having a romantic relationship in the near future.

“I have no desire right now,” Courteney Cox says in the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “I’m not saying never; it just seems weird.”

When they divorced in October, Courteney Cox and David Arquette had been married for 11 years. The actress admits to have remained very attached to her ex-husband.

“I don’t know what the future holds, and I guess because I [still] have strong feelings for [David] … I’m his biggest protector. I can’t help it,” the Cougar Town star says. “Most guys aren’t mature, are they? … If you know who David is, you know what his intentions are, how honest he is, and how big his heart is … You can’t really get mad at David because he’s not a malicious person.”

When asked how she plans her future relationship, the actress didn’t seem very enthusiastic: “I don’t even know how that would happen or how you meet people. I don’t like to go out. I’m not great at small talk … I don’t like to go to parties.”

As for her 6-year-old daughter Coco, she says, “She’s our No. 1 priority. No matter what happens, she’ll be okay because she knows that she is completely safe, loved, and we’ll protect that more than anything in the world.”

Looks like Courteney Cox is still rehashing old memories for a while.
