Eva Longoria’s divorce: “Every time I talk about it, I want to cry”

In addition to gracing the cover of the April issue of Allure magazine, on newsstands March 22, the Desperate Housewives star gave an interview in which she spoke openly about the pain she felt in recent months .

“Every time I talk about it, I want to cry. It’s been hard. Very hard,” she said about the divorce . “I’m just trying to get through it as gracefully as possible without any drama.”

On November 17 Eva Longoria filed for divorce in the Superior Court of Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. Several rumors claimed Tony Parker had been unfaithful to Eva, cheating on her with a mutual friend of the couple.

The 36-year-old actress, who in the past few weeks has been seeing Penelope Cruz’s younger brother, Eduardo Cruz, 25, also admits in the interview she tries to write a new chapter in his life.

“I’m in a transition stage, settling into a new routine – and I welcome it.”

She also explains why she chooses to share her grief with her fans: “It’s hard for me to censor myself, because I like to be honest and free and say exactly what I’m thinking or feeling.”

Longoria and Parker, who became engaged on November 30, 2006, were married at the Saint-Germain l’Auxerrois church, in Paris, July 7, 2007. The ceremony was followed by a party at Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte.
