Mel Gibson’s accusations that Oksana Grigorieva tried to extort him look thinner tha expected, a source told RadarOnline.com.
“It’s looking more and more like no crime was committed by Ms. Grigorieva,” the insider said.
Gibson and his attorney Blair Berk have met with officials to discuss a so-called extortion on the part of Oksana.
The actor is being investigated for domestic violence against Oksana Grigorieva, and this investigation is coming to an end.
“There is simply no smoking gun that point to Oksana trying to extort Mel,” the source said. “There are emails which Gibson’s camp say is clearly extortion.”
However, those emails can also be viewed in the context of an ongoing negotiation between Mel and Oksana regarding custody of their infant daughter.
Extortion is always hard to prove, especially if the person being accused was represented by a lawyer and in a bitter custody dispute.
The extortion case has yet to be officially handed over to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
