Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are engaged

Since the beginning of the year, Halle Berry, 45, has been wearing a beautiful ring, which has every appearance of an engagement ring.

Martinez, 46, proposed with a diamond-and-emerald ring from Gurhan over the holidays. A rep for the jewelry designer also confirmed the engagement to People.

The actress “had given up on being married, but she trusts Olivier. He makes her feel safe. He’s a keeper!” a source told Us Weekly.

The couple met while filming “Dark Tide”. Not long after that, in autumn 2010, they formed a couple.

While Olivier Martinez has never been married, this will be the third marriage for Halle, who wed baseball player David Justice in the 90′s and singer Eric Benet in the 2000s.

Berry has a 3-year-old daughter, Nahla, from her relationship with model Gabriel Aubry.
