Hayden Panettiere is single after split from Wladmir Klitschko

“Even though we’ve decided splitting up is best, we have an amazing amount of love and respect for each other and remain very close friends,” Panettiere, 21, said in a statement to People.

According to Klitschko, geographical distance was the main cause for their split.

“We had a great time together, but it’s not easy to manage a relationship between two continents,” the 35-year-old boxer told People. “I have a lot of respect for Hayden as a person and as a friend, and I believe we’ll keep our friendship even after the separation.”

The couple was seen together for the last time at the Tribeca Film Festival, at the premiere of the documentary “Klitschko” which discusses the boxing careers of Wladmir and his brother Vitali Klitschko.
