Jewelry store sells Lindsay Lohan video, possibly ruins case
The jewelry store that accuses Lindsay Lohan of theft may have blown the prosecutor’s case in the process by selling the surveillance tape.
The actress is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from Kamofie & Co, thus violating her probation. However, she insists the store loaned her the piece of jewelry.
TMZ reports Kamofie & Co. sold the surveillance tape to an unknown media outlet. If the jeweler is called to the stand, the selling of the tape could discredit them.
After they cashed in on the notorious video, trying to convince a jury that a celebrity fooled them may be tough to prove.
There was no word on whether this would affect plea bargaining negotiations.
The website also reported Lindsay refuses to strike any plea deal that includes serving time in prison.
