Actors Keira Knightley and Rupert Friend, who met on the set of the film “Pride and Prejudice” in 2005, have split after 5 years of romance.
A source told People that the couple, who shared a London home, quietly broke up a few months ago, shortly after Knightley bought a house in southern France, near Nice.
Sources say distance and career are to be blamed for their split. “It was time for her to move on,” an insider revealed.
“They were together for quite a long time, and it is always hard breaking up. She’s focused on her work,” Will Knightley, Keira’s father, confirmed to The Sun.
Keira Knightley recently starred in the movie “London Boulevard” alongside Colin Farrell and will soon appear in “A Dangerous Method” with Viggo Mortensen.
Friend played Prince Albert in “The Young Victoria” by the Canadian Jean-Marc Vallée.
