Lindsay Lohan’s $2,500 necklace is actually not a $2,500 necklace

Lindsay Lohan was accused of grand theft charges after supposedly stealing a $2,500 necklace. However, it seems she may have found some luck.

TMZ reports the piece of jewelry was found to be marked up 300%.

According to the site, Kamofie & Co., the jeweler accusing Lohan of lifting a $2,500 necklace, paid the designer only $850 for the piece.

That may mean that LiLo may only be charged with a misdemeanor since that price tag does not qualify for felony grand theft, which requires a value of $950 or more.

Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, is likely to argue for a change in the charge, based on the true value of the necklace.

However, Kamofie’s owner is sure to have PR problems given the mark-up, as well as the surveillance video they sold, that showed the alleged theft.

What do you think? Will this new info help Lindsay?
