Lindsay Lohan bails out and says she needs rehab not jail

With a $300,000 bail, Lindsay Lohan is free again, leaving Lynwood Correctional Facility after judge Patricia Schnegg, Assistant Supervising for the L.A. County Criminal Courts allowed her to post bail.

After her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, has filed all the legal papers, appealing Judge Elden Fox’s ruling that Lindsay Lohan should be held without bail, she went out of Lynwood Correctional Facility paying a $300,000 bail.

“She’s been very cooperative – always has been – the first time, and then the last time,” says L.A. Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore. “Let’s hope this is the last time.”

According to the most recent ruling, Lohan must now be fitted – again – with an alcohol-monitoring bracelet within 24 hours of her release.

She’s also ordered to stay out of places where “alcohol is the chief item of sale.”

However, Lindsay Lohan confessed to her friends this week that she needed to go back to rehab – not jail – if she was going to defeat her drug addiction.

Sources told TMZ Lindsay was surprisingly self-aware that she made a big mistake by falling off the wagon and testing positive for cocaine – and that she couldn’t fight her disease alone.

Lindsay was also aware that her relapse had “ruined a lot” in connection to the revival of her career.
