In a statement obtained by TMZ, Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer says he’s ready to go to court to prove that his client is innocent.

The reads, “We vehemently deny these allegations and, if charges are filed, we will fight them in court, not in the press.”

Lindsay s currently under investigation for allegedly stealing a 2,500 necklace from a jewelry store.

The star’s father, Michael Lohan, insists his daughter is innocent but that she’s still “worried” about the accusations.

“Lindsay is worried about what’s going to happen because when you’re on probation all it takes is one false accusation and you can be in big trouble,” Michael told Radar Online.

“Leave the kid alone,” he said. “Lindsay borrowed the necklace and she returned it. That’s it.”
