Maria Shriver and son Patrick react to Schwarzenegger’s infidelity

Apparently, Schwarzenegger’s revelation prompted wife Maria Shriver to leave the couple’s residence.

“This is a painful and heartbreaking time,” Shriver, 55, said in a separate statement. “As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. I will have no further comment.”

In addition, one of their children, Patrick, took to Twitter to express his sadness, but also profess his love for his family.

“Some days you feel like sh*t, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit, yet I love my family till death do us apart. #family,” he tweeted on Tuesday.

Schwarzenegger and Shriver have separated after 25 years of marriage. They have four children together, ages 14, 18, 20 and 21.
