Michael Douglas has one more cancer treatment left

Allen Burry, Douglas’ friend and publicist said that Oscar-winning actor, 66, has one more treatment left, and after this week “no further treatments are scheduled”.

Michael Douglas had eight weeks of chemotherapy and radiation and his recovery is expected to take about another six weeks. Then, he’ll have periodic check-ups.

“He’s really happy about it ending,” says Burry. Who wouldn’t?

Although the treatment can make it painful to swallow and as a result difficult to eat, Michael Douglas “was determined not to have a feeding tube, and he didn’t have to have one,” says Burry.

He also still had enough energy to walk his 7-year-old daughter Carys to school and came out to promote Wall Street: “Money Never Sleeps”, appearing at the New York premiere with his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, said People.
