Michael Douglas visits son in prison

Although submitted to grueling treatments for his throat cancer, Michael Douglas makes regular visits to his son Cameron who is serving time in a Pennsylvania prison.

“He’s visiting with him as often as he can,” Douglas’ rep, Allen Burry told E! News. “He’s not going every day and not as often as he would like, but he is still visiting with him”.

Even though he is recovering from chemotherapy and radiation at present and despite the long distance he has to travel through, Michael is making efforts to keep his family his number one priority.

Cameron, 31, was sentenced in April to five years in prison for heroin possession and conspiracy to sell crystal meth and cocaine. Michael Douglas called the punishment “adequate” at the time.

As far as the elder Douglas’ condition is concerned, Burry also said “Michael completed his treatment about three weeks ago and is recuperating from the process. No further treatments are scheduled.”
