Oksana Grigorieva fired her two criminal defense lawyers

Oksana Grigorieva is fighting to convince the judge to determine Mel Gibson to pay much more than $5000 for her monthly child support. She wants more than $40,000.

But before convincing the judge she must defend herself from a criminal investigation. More precisely – extortion accusations from Mel Gibson’s lawyers.

However, she fired yesterday her two criminal defense lawyers: Mary Fulginiti and James Spertus. Some sources say the breakup was “ugly”.

Fulginiti and Spertus were handling, among other things, the Sheriff’s Department investigation into Mel’s claim that Oksana tried to extort him.

We might suspect that this breakup has something to do with her recent visit to Sorrell Trope, one of the most prominent family law attorneys in Los Angeles.

In the past, Trope’s firm has represented the likes of Brooke Mueller, Victoria Hopper, Anna Nicole Smith and Britney Spears.

Who knows, maybe she fired Fulginiti and Spertus because she had too many lawyers and too many bills to pay … Or maybe Sorrell Trope promised her he can deal the criminal investigation by himself …
