Reese Witherspoon is getting ready for her second wedding

The couple became engaged after about a year of dating.

The actress’ rep confirmed the news to UsMagazine.com. “They are extremely happy,” the rep said.

The 34-year-old actress met Jim Toth, an agent at Creative Artists Agency in Los Angeles – one of the most powerful agencies representing celebrities in Hollywood – in January.

Aged 40, Jim Toth went into Reese’s life just after her split from Jake Gyllenhaal.

Last October, a source close to Jim Toth told People that he was filled by Hollywood artist’s relationship with her. “Jim knows Reese is the one for him. It’s what he’s been waiting for. [Getting engaged] is a natural step for them.”

The wedding date hasn’t been set yet. This will be the second marriage for Witherspoon, who was married for nine years to actor Ryan Phillippe, with whom she has two children, Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7.

Reese Witherspoon is the last to join the list of celebrities who have announced their engagements over the holidays. Natalie Portman, LeAnn Rimes and Lily Allen were also surprised by marriage proposals this Christmas.
