After being hit by a car Wednesday, the actress was briefly hospitalized but soon got back home to rest.

On Wednesday, Witherspoon was jogging in Santa Monica, Calif., when she was struck by the car of an 84-year-old woman who was eventually cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

The actress suffered minor injuries. She only got away with a cut on her forehead.

But on Friday a smiling Reese was spotted in Beverly Hills in the company of her husband, Jim Toth, looking safe and sound.

According to reports, she doesn’t intend to press charges against the 84-year-old woman.

A source told Us Weekly: “The incident is being treated as an accident. The driver was not given an alcohol test at the accident scene and typically she would receive a fine and a point on her driving license as it is considered a moving violation.”
