Ricky Gervais responds to criticism

After the latter had said that Robert Downey Jr. was best known for his stays in the Betty Ford rehab, the actor commented: “Aside from the fact that it’s been hugely mean-spirited with mildly sinister overtones, I’d say the vibe of the show is pretty good, wouldn’t you?”

For his part, Ricky Gervais responded to criticism on Monday, saying he enjoyed his Golden Globes hosting gig more this year than last year. “I think I had better gags,” he wrote on his blog.
