François-Henri Pinault discusses his 5-year-old son, from his relationship with former supermodel, Linda Evangelista, for the first time.
In early August, Linda Evangelista caused a stir by seeking $46,000 a month in child support, an amount considered exaggerated by the businessman who wants to give his version of the events.
In an interview with French magazine Elle, the businessman denied accusations by Evangelista’s lawyer that he has been “paying zero” in raising the boy, who turns 5 next month.
“My son is called Augustin Evangelista Pinault, I have recognized him since 2007,” he told the current issue of Elle.
“Augustine was born October 11, 2006, while his parents had been separated for more than eight months, and at every possible opportunity he has participated in my family life whether in France or the United States,” he explained, adding that the boy has also developed a relationship with his step-sister Valentina, 4, Pinault’s daughter with Salma Hayek, whom he married in 2009.
“He is totally integrated within my family,” he said.
François-Henri Pinault also stated that Hayek has always been aware of the existence of his son.
