Tony Parker files divorce papers in Texas

Everybody knows now about Tony Parker and Eva Longoria’s divorce. The latest news show that Tony Parker has filed his own divorce petition against Eva Longoria in Texas.

As Eva has filed for divorce earlier this week in Los Angeles, this promises to be a great legal battle over where the case will be heard. In Texas, divorces can be handled quickly (about 60 days).

According to the complaint that was filed, Tony states the reason for the divorce: “The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationships and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

What is at least curious is that we know the couple signed a prenup, but in Tony’s application, he makes no mention of it. On the contrary, he even writes: “Petitioner believes Petitioner and Respondent will enter into an agreement for the division of their estate.”

Tony’s request also mentions, “Petitioner owns certain separate property that is not part of the community estate of the parties …”

Tony’s lawyer did not return calls to journalists. And no comment was made by Eva’s reps.
