“Two and a Half Men” are left without Charlie Sheen after he gets fired

So is it gonna be One and a Half Men from now on?

The bleak times continue for Charlie Sheen as the producers of the series “Two and a Half Men” have officially announced his dismissal. His latest escapades and his ultimatum had failed to convince them.

Charlie Sheen’s employers have had it with his antics. Yesterday Warner Bros. announced the final separation between the actor and the production of “Two and a Half Men.”

“After careful consideration, Warner Bros Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately,” Warner Bros said in a statement.

The filming of the series, one of the most popular in the U.S. since its launch in 2003, was stopped by Warner ten days ago, in response to the attacks Charlie Sheen made against producer Chuck Lorre. In a letter to the actor’s lawyer, Warner Bros. explains the actor got fired because he committed a felony involving “moral turpitude.”

“Your client has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill,” the letter reads.

“Regrettably, Mr. Sheen failed to continue with his rehabilitation program. The result has been a series of well-chronicled and increasingly erratic outbursts that have culminated with Mr. Sheen’s public tirades of the last few weeks.”

“For months before the suspension of production, Mr. Sheen’s erratic behavior escalated while his condition deteriorated. His declining condition undermined the production in numerous and significant ways. Now, the entire world knows Mr. Sheen’s condition from his alarming outbursts over just the last few weeks,” the letter continued.

No further comment was available about the continuation, in the near future, of the series with a new actor even if rumors mentioned the names of Rob Lowe or John Stamos.

Charlie Sheen welcomed the announcement in a positive spirit: “I didn’t like that show anyway or those dumb bowling shirts they made me wear. Now I’m free.”

Charlie Sheen, 45, has always been a regular subject in the tabloids for his antics and his many and varied legal problems with drugs, prostitution, domestic violence. But for the past two weeks, the actor seems more than ever unleashed.

After the attacks against Chuck Lorre, the producer of “Two and a Half Men,” which earned him accusations of antisemitism, the actor has had a great number of interviews in the U.S. media, making statements that were strange at best and totally incoherent at worst.

The actor has publicly admitted his regular use of drugs and was stripped of the custody of his two children last week at the request of his ex-wife Brooke Mueller, with whom he is in divorce proceedings since allegations of domestic violence.

He also started a one-hour program broadcast exclusively on the Internet, “Sheen’s Korner” during the weekend in which, visibly thinner, he showed his new tattoo, among other things, said that he has “tiger blood” flowing in his veins and proclaimed his admiration for the actor Sean Penn, with whom he plans to travel to Haiti to “draw the attention of the world” to the victims of the January 2010 earthquake.

His ex-wife Denise Richards, mother of his two daughters, Sam and Lola, also decided she didn’t want Charlie around their kids. Enraged, he threatened to chop off her head.

That’s enough to supply the gossip media in the coming months and Charlie’s Twitter account where his followers (already more than 2.1 million) keep encouraging their idol.
