“Up in the Air” actress Vera Farmiga welcomes baby girl

Vera Farmiga is the proud mother of a baby girl, her second child.

Vera Farmiga and her husband Hakey Renn didn’t want to know the sex of their unborn baby until birth. “We don’t know what we’re having yet. I just want to have a healthy baby,” Farmiga told PEOPLE earlier this year.

The actress gave birth on November 4 to a little girl called called Gytta Lubov Hawkey. The delivery went well, the mother and child are doing well.

This is the couple’s second child, the first being small Flynn, aged 22 months.

Vera Farmiga was nominated for an Oscar for her role in the movie “Up in the Air”, for “Best Actress in a Supporting Role.”

Not bad for an actress whose mother language is not English. Originally from Ukraine, Vera Farmiga grew up in the U.S., but learned English at the age of six. At 37, the actress already has 25 films to date.

She was awarded “Best Actress’ three times for her role in the film “The Bone Down” in 2004: by Los Angeles Film Critics, at the Sundance Film Festival and at the Independent Spirit Awards.
