Vivica A. Fox got engaged over the holidays

Omar “Slim” White, manager of a nightclub in Atlanta, popped the question on December 26 with an 8-carat ring while the couple was staying at the Ritz Carlton in South Beach, Florida.

“My career has been my baby for such a long time and I’ve done well by that. I waited for God to send me a good man, and he’s a good Southern man,” the actress told Wendy Williams of White in December.

It was however believed that this engagement would never happen. Last August, after eight months of romance, Omar White issued a press release announcing his break from Fox. The next day he took back his comments, saying he acted on a whim. It is understandable that the 27-year-old young man doesn’t have the maturity of Vivica, who has 46.

This is the second marriage for the actress who was married in 1998 to singer Christopher Harvest. They divorced in 2002. Vivia then dated rapper 50 Cent for a while.
