The 93-year-old actress was admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles and will undergo an operation in which her leg will be partially amputated, her husband revealed.

Zsa Zsa Gabor has been having problems since July 2010, when she fell from her bed and broke her hip. Since then, she has undergone several interventions.

Although she was warned by doctors that she could lose her life if the right leg won’t be amputated below the knee, Gabor wanted to spend what could be her last holidays at home with family. However, two days ago she was hospitalized at the UCLA Medical Center for surgery, ABC News informs.

According to her rep, the surgery is not without risks because of her age, but if successful, it could extend her life for years.

As we have previously reported, Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to hospital in November after accusing pain and swelling in her legs. Doctors then discovered a “massive blood clot.”
