George W. Bush’s niece Lauren weds Ralph Lauren’s son David

The ceremony took place at Ralph and Ricky Lauren’s 17,000-acre Double RL ranch in Colorado , which overlooks the Rocky Mountains .

The model, designer and philanthropist, 27, arrived in a horse-drawn carriage and walked down the aisle arm in arm with her divorced parents, Sharon and Neil.

According to Page Six, Lauren Bush wore an “intricately embroidered Victorian-style gown” designed by her new father-in-law Ralph Lauren. The groom, opted for a vintage ” Lincoln era-inspired tux.”

In the weekend leading to the ceremony, the guests, were treated to a 2-day holiday that included a picnic, softball game, rehearsal dinner and a post-wedding rodeo on Monday.

The two hundred wedding guests, who were asked to wear “black tie with a Western twist,” included George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush, the bride’s aunt and uncle, their twin daughters Jenna Hager and Barbara Bush, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and candy entrepreneur, Dylan Lauren of Dylan’s Candy Bar.

The religious ceremony was followed by a reception in a barn in a nearby meadow. The menu included steaks from the ranch stock. The music was insured by country singer Michael Martin Murphey.

The bride’s grandparents, former president and first lady George H.W. and Barbara Bush were unable to attend the ceremony due to the high altitude at the ranch and health concerns. Reports say they recorded a video message for the couple, which was played during the rehearsal dinner on Saturday.

David Bush met his future wife in 2004 while she was an undergraduate at Princeton University studying anthropology and photography.

Lauren Bush is the daughter of the 43rd president’s brother, Neil. David Lauren, 39, is the youngest son of his father and he works as an executive at Polo Ralph Lauren.

After the marriage, she will be known as Lauren Bush-Lauren.

“I think it will be Lauren Bush-Lauren,” she said in the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar.” That’s not final, but I think it’s nice to have the same name as your husband. I am sort of old-fashioned in that way.”
