TMZ reports that the NBA player spent part of the night in a police station near Los Angeles.

Lamar was arrested for “driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs” on Friday morning.

Authorities say Odom was arrested in the San Fernando Valley at 3:54 am on Highway 101 because he was moving too slowly (50 mph) after driving his white Mercedes in a “serpentine manner.”

“The most dangerous aspect is that he was driving 50 mph on a freeway with a speed of 65 mph,” CHP spokesman Leland Tang told People. “That is never a good sign. That’s not safe.”

Then he showed “objective signs of intoxication” and failed to perform field sobriety tests.

He also refused to take a chemical test at the jail and under state law that cost him a one-year suspension of his driver’s license.

“Once you say no you automatically lose your license. No judge or attorney needed,” Tang said. “People think you can do that but you can’t refuse a chemical test without consequences.”
