Details of the high-profile event emerge from guests who attended.
It was known before her marriage that Kim Kardashian had chosen several dresses by designer Vera Wang. While the first exclusive video of the event will be revealed by E!, some of the guests are providing details about the ceremony.
The Vera Wang dress in which Kim walked down the aisle was a strapless ivory gown, consisting of a tight-fitting strapless Chantilly lace, as was the creation of Kate Middleton, and a tulle skirt with a spectacular long train.
Kim apparently put up her hair in a bun, topped with a jeweled hairpiece with diamonds that fell on her forehead. The veil didn’t cover her face.
For her feet, Kim reportedly chose to wear Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and held a bouquet of white roses in her hand
Previous rumors also reported that she planned three dresses for her wedding, which meant two changes in place after the exchange of vows. All were Vera Wang ivory gowns that she changed into during the reception.
The groom opted for a Ermenegildo Zegna tuxedo, with black trousers, a white shirt and a white bow tie in keeping with the wedding’s black and white theme. He changed the top part of his ensemble one time during the reception.
The wedding rings were designed by Lorraine Schwartz. Kim and Kris danced their first dance to Thicke’s live performance of “Angels.”
The Kardashian clan reportedly invested more than $ 20 million in organizing Kim and Kris’ wedding in a sumptuous home in Montecito , California .
However, they have been able to recover a portion of the amount as reports surface about a whopping $ 1.5 million paid by People magazine for the exclusive photos. The mag will publish them in its September 5 issue.
The couple exchanged vows before the cameras of E! Online that will broadcast the ceremony in October.
The New York Post also reports sums of up to $10,000 paid for invitations.
The menu was assured by Wolfgang Puck. It included buffalo mozzarella and heirloom tomato salad; a choice of hand-formed agnolotti with sweet corn mascarpone and summer truffles, or roast chicken with Yukon Gold potato puree, caramelized brussels sprouts and summer truffles.
The highlight of the evening? A multi-tier chocolate and vanilla wedding cake, estimated at around $15,000.
