Paris Hilton and Lil Wayne in-depth Q&A

Rapper Lil Wayne and socialite Paris Hilton are featured in the April issue of Interview Magazine on a sit-down Q&A about rap, paparazzi and freedom after jail.

The rapper told Hilton he enjoys his status as the new King of Hip-Hop. “I guess if that brings forth pressure, then I’m up for it…As long as people remember me forever that will be enough for me.”

Wayne said he makes music for his fans. As for rap lyrics often being about money, sex and violence, the rapper commented, “Music is a reflection of who you are, and if those things that you mentioned are what your music is all about, then I guess that’s who you are.”

Lil Wayne, who spent eight months of 2010 in prison, said during the interview that he has been enjoying time with his four children since being released.

“My main thing is to chill with my kids,” Wayne said. “They live with their moms, but they’re always with me.”

In the interview, Weezy talked about how in last month of jail, officials caught him with an iPod, which is forbidden in prison. He was thrown in solitary confinement for the remaining weeks of his sentence: “For me it was okay, because it just meant that I was alone with my thoughts. There were times when it was pretty tough to be by yourself, and to have no television, no sort of nothing. That was kind of tough. But I didn’t have to be in there long. It was just a month. I was okay. I did fine.”

Paris, who has spent time in jail herself, could easily relate to his experience. “I had to do 24 nights in solitary,” she told Wayne. “I know how it is. It’s the best feeling in the world when you come out.”
