Kids at the United States Air Force’s Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan, might find it a bit hard to embrace the Christmas spirit on the island’s sub-tropical beaches and with temperatures reaching 60 °F.

But Kadena’s occupants seem to have found the solution: here, Santa doesn’t come in a reindeer sleigh or go down the chimney. Instead, he uses HH-60G Pave Hawk combat search and rescue helicopter and a fast-rope.
