NASA has recently posted a video of the Earth as seen from outer space.

The ISS crew mounted a camera on board the station, focused it on North America and thousands of images were assembled into a short clip that shows the way the Earth spins around its axis from a vantage point 225 miles up.

The station, a $100billion project of 16 nations, was finished this year after more than a decade of construction.

The first video pans from northwest Canada to Florida and finally the islands of the Bahamas.

The second video pans from Alaska to eastern Cuba and features a view of the aurora borealis.
