The Iron Man exoskeleton will soon become a reality

Various companies have tried to produce a similar prototype and now the group Sarca Raytheon is already working the second generation.

In addition, company officials presented the exoskeleton robotics suit, dubbed the XOS 2, saying that in five years it will go into production. The costume will have to be connected to a power source.

The new version of the costume uses high-pressure hydraulic systems, sensors, actuators and controller.

Unlike the first version, which debuted in 2008, the new XOS is easier and more powerful. The engineers at Raytheon Sarcos decreased the product’s mass and replaced the valve to increase the costume’s efficiency.

The Raytheon company is best known for the military aspects of its products. However, the exoskeleton will also be used for civilians, for example, in the assistance of paralyzed people.
